white shred score

Exonage incorporates instrumentally and electronically produced sonorities into a constantly shifting and restructured collage realized in response to a freely interpreted score. The score consists of graphic notation to suggest the creation of synthesized sound and short melodic motifs that are to be performed on traditional instruments. There is an inherent improvisational method to the entire composition as no element is strictly defined in terms of pitch, rhythm, or duration. Any number of performers can participate, each with their own personal interpretation of the elements of the score. The recombining and splicing of elements is meant to evoke the coding of exons in the RNA sequence.
